The free live-trading trial, the Lifetime purchase, and what changes when the trial ends.
Promethean has one free plan and one paid option. There is no subscription.
The Free plan
Every account starts on Free. It gives you:
- Unlimited dry-run bots, forever. A dry-run bot does everything a live bot does — it receives your alerts, checks your balance, works out the order size and the take-profit and stop-loss prices — but never sends the order to the exchange. See Create a bot.
- A live-trading trial: up to 2 live bots for 30 days, counted from the day you created your account. A live bot is any bot with Dry Run switched off, whether it is active or paused.
The dashboard shows how many trial days you have left and how many of your 2 live-bot slots are in use. The same information is on your Profile under Plan.
When the trial ends
After 30 days a Free account keeps working, with one change: live bots no longer open new trades. When an entry signal (BUY, ENTER-LONG or ENTER-SHORT) reaches a live bot, the signal is logged with status BLOCKED and this message:
Live trading trial ended — this entry was not placed. Upgrade to Lifetime to keep trading live, or switch the bot to dry run. Exit signals still work, so open positions can always be closed.
Three things do not change when the trial ends:
- Exit signals still execute. SELL, EXIT-LONG and EXIT-SHORT are never blocked by your plan, so a position opened during the trial can always be closed by your alerts.
- Take-profit and stop-loss orders already resting on the exchange are untouched. They belong to the exchange, not to Promethean.
- Dry-run bots keep running exactly as before.
You can still edit a live bot after the trial (for example to tighten its stop-loss), and you can switch it to dry run. What you cannot do is switch a dry-run bot to live, or create a new live bot, until you upgrade.
Lifetime
Lifetime is a one-time payment. It gives you:
- Up to 20 live bots, with no time limit.
- Unlimited dry-run bots.
- Every future feature, included.
The price is shown on the Pricing page and is the same for everyone: tax is included, so the amount you see is the amount you pay. The checkout may show it converted to your local currency. We may raise the price for new buyers over time; a purchase you have already made is never affected.
How to buy
- Log in and open Pricing (the Upgrade link in the top menu goes there too).
- Click Get Lifetime. You are taken to a secure checkout page run by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are entered there and never reach Promethean.
- Enter your name, country and payment details and pay.
- You are brought back to Promethean with a "Lifetime active" confirmation. Your account is upgraded immediately; Stripe emails the receipt.
If you land back on Promethean and it still says the payment is being confirmed, wait a few seconds and refresh. Your account switches to Lifetime as soon as Stripe confirms the payment. If you closed the checkout without paying, you have not been charged.
Refunds
You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying Lifetime, for any reason — see the Refund Policy. A refunded purchase returns the account to the Free plan automatically. Your bots, keys and logs are kept; only the Lifetime limits are removed.

When you try to save a bot as live beyond your limit, the form explains why and the bot is not saved. Switch another bot to dry run (or delete it) to free a slot, or keep Dry Run ticked for the new bot.
