Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Promethean, the trading-automation service at prometheanbots.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Whetstone Labs, a business registered in the Netherlands (KvK 42104845) ("we", "us"). You can reach us at whetstonelabsnl@gmail.com.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is — and is not

Promethean is software. It connects to cryptocurrency exchange accounts that you own, using API keys that you create and provide, and it places orders on those accounts when it receives signals that you configure (for example TradingView alerts sent to your webhook address).

The Service is not:

  • a broker, exchange, or custodian — we never hold your funds or your assets;
  • an investment adviser — nothing on the Service is financial, investment, tax or legal advice;
  • a signal provider — the signals that trigger trades come from sources you choose and configure.

Strategies shown in the Strategies catalogue are provided for information only. Any performance figures shown are historical or simulated and are not a prediction or guarantee of future results.

2. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to trade cryptocurrency derivatives and spot markets where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you and with the terms of service of every exchange you connect.

3. Your account and your keys

You are responsible for keeping your login details, webhook tokens and bot tokens confidential, and for everything done through your account.

Exchange API keys you add are encrypted before they are stored. We strongly recommend that you create keys with trading permission only and without withdrawal permission, and that you never provide the private key of a wallet that holds funds you cannot afford to lose. You can disable or delete keys at any time.

4. Trading risk

Trading cryptocurrency, and especially leveraged futures, carries a high risk of loss. Automated trading adds further risks of its own:

  • A signal you (or a script you use) send in error will be executed as sent.
  • Orders may fail, fill at a different price than expected, or be delayed by exchange, network or software problems.
  • A position opened by the Service may remain open on the exchange if a closing signal is not received or cannot be executed. You remain responsible for monitoring and managing positions on your exchange accounts.
  • Pausing a bot, disabling a key, using the kill switch or deleting a bot or account does not close positions or cancel orders already resting on the exchange.

The user guide describes exactly how each control behaves. Please read it before trading live, and use Dry Run mode to test any new setup first. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

5. Plans, prices and payment

The Service offers a Free plan and a one-time Lifetime purchase. The current limits and price are shown on the Pricing page. We may change prices and plan limits for future purchases at any time; a Lifetime purchase you have already made is not affected by later price changes.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe acts as the merchant of record for your purchase: Stripe sells you the licence on our behalf, collects the payment and any applicable tax, and issues your receipt. Prices shown include tax where it applies. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and never reach us.

"Lifetime" means for as long as the Service is operated by us. It is personal to your account and cannot be transferred or resold.

6. Refunds

Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break any law or any exchange's rules, to interfere with the Service or other users, to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to resell or sublicense access to the Service.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend or add features at any time. If we ever decide to discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable notice by email to the address on your account.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damage arising from your use of the Service, from exchange or network failures, or from signals sent to your account. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country that cannot be waived by agreement.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Deleting your account removes your bots, keys and execution logs from the Service. It does not close positions or cancel orders on your exchanges, and it does not entitle you to a refund outside the Refund Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. If we close your account for a reason other than breach, and you hold a Lifetime purchase, we will refund you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email or with a notice in the Service before it takes effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the European Union you also keep the protections of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
