MEXC

  • Spot only. Bots buy with the quote currency and sell what they bought.
  • No testnet, no take-profit or stop-loss.
  • A spot bot sells only the coins it bought itself, capped at what's in your wallet — your other holdings are left alone.

BingX

  • Spot and USDT-M perpetual futures. New bots default to futures.
  • One-Way position mode is required for futures bots; Hedge mode is refused.
  • Leverage is checked separately for longs and shorts: set both to the bot's value for each pair.
  • The Testnet box on the key form is ticked by default for BingX — untick it for a real account.

Blofin

  • Perpetual futures only.
  • The API key needs its passphrase.
  • Promethean places every Blofin order in isolated margin, and checks your isolated leverage for the pair.
  • One-Way position mode is required.
  • API keys expire after 90 days unless they're bound to an IP address. Promethean doesn't currently provide a fixed IP to bind to, so replace your Blofin key before it expires.
  • Blofin API keys can't withdraw funds.

Hyperliquid

  • Perpetual futures only, quoted in USDC — type pairs as BTC/USDC.
  • Credentials are your main account's public address and an agent wallet's private key from app.hyperliquid.xyz/API. Never use your main wallet's private key.
  • Keep the account in Standard account mode (not unified). In unified mode the futures balance reads as zero.
  • Use Fixed Amount sizing.
  • Leverage isn't checked. Promethean can't read Hyperliquid's leverage setting, so it trusts the bot's value. Set each coin's leverage on Hyperliquid to match the bot, or the margin used will differ from the bot's size.
  • Hyperliquid has no true market orders. Promethean sends a limit order that can fill up to 1% from the current price on entries and 5% on exits. If the price moves further than that before it fills, nothing is traded and the log says so.

Every futures account

  • Run one bot per pair per exchange account, and don't trade a bot's pair by hand on the same account. Bots check the exchange's position for the pair and refuse to act when it doesn't match their records.
  • Take-profit and stop-loss are placed on the exchange with the entry and trigger on mark price. When the bot closes a position it cancels its remaining take-profit and stop-loss orders.
  • Promethean never changes your exchange's leverage, margin settings or position mode — except that Blofin orders are always sent as isolated.
